Offer support to those with heart disease and their families, Lending a Sympathetic ear and offering support on a practical level. Help people who experience heart disease to a normal active life as soon as possible, giving support and understanding on the way. Offer a "listening ear" contact service in order to listen to problems of heart patients and those who look after them at home. Objectives To promote the welfare and care of cardiac patients both at home and in hospital.
To promote and provide support and aftercare for patients and their partners when resuming home and social life. To establish support and counseling services accessible to anyone with a cardiac complaint, their relatives and friends. To increase public awareness of heart disease, its causes, treatment, implications and help available. To provide social and personal contact with people who share and understand the needs and problems of heart disease sufferers. To act as an information centre for those people requiring literature on heart disease.
To liaise with existing groups in this or similar fields.
