Pregnant Pause

My husband returned to work after about six months when our twins were about two months old. Unfortunately, because of the pressure of work combined with the onset of angina, he had to retire on ill-health grounds.
If he feels well enough, he still walks or cycles each day, in an effort to keep fit.

Our GP assured me some years ago that my husband was capable of light household chores and gardening, but I feel unable to "allow" him to do much more than the washing up. As a consequence, I find myself heaving furniture about, decorating, digging and cutting the grass. This is not because I want to, and certainly not because I do them well!
