Christine Flunder
Committee Member

I was born in 1942 in Leytonstone, Essex (yes I'm an ‘Essex Girl') and moved to Lowestoft with my Husband, Jim, in 1965. I have three children – twin girls Debbie and Jenny and a Son, Trevor. I have three wonderful grandchildren who I adore and who keep me on my toes.
Since I had the children I have served on many PTA Committees in the roles of Committee Member and as Chairman at Benjamin Britten High School. From 1983 until 2003 I was very much involved with Lowestoft Organ Club. I began as a committee member and later became Chairman. At the time of my retirement I had spent many years as Secretary. I thoroughly enjoyed my terms of office and met many interesting people and musicians.
My involvement with HeartCare can be blamed on my neighbour, our new Chairman, Betty Pointon. When I retired as Secretary from the Organ Club it freed up my Tuesday evenings and enabled me to come along to my first HeartCare meeting. The rest, as they say, is history. However, joking apart, I do have first hand experience of heart problems as my Husband, Jim, had a triple heart by-pass at Papworth Hospital 18 years ago so I hope you will feel I will be able to offer empathy to anyone who would like to chat to me.
I look forward to giving my best efforts while serving as one of your Committee Members
