Michael Mason
Technical Support

I am married to Susanne and have twins Simon and Rachel. Simon works for the Norfolk Fire Service and Rachel is a Radiographer at a London Hospital . I live in Bradwell near Great Yarmouth and am Yarmouth born and bred. I retired from the Norfolk Fire Service as a full time officer in 2000 but stayed on in my retained roll at Gorleston Fire Station until June 2004.
I only work part now for the St John Ambulance Training Wing running or assessing on first aid courses.
My interests are:
Vintage vehicles, I own an 1965 Austin Gipsy complete with a Brockhouse trailer. This vehicle was owned by the Home Office and was not released by them until 1997 so it sill has very low mileage on the clock. I have used the Gipsy in the Lowestoft Carnival parade promoting HeartCare.
Photography, I have now moved onto a digital camera after years of using roll film. I have had a long interest in photography as it runs in the family right back to my Grandfather who use to take pictures of the holiday makers on Yarmouth beach in the early 1900's
St John Ambulance. I have been involved with St. John since the early 1970, s first with the Gt. Yarmouth Division and now as the Deputy Area Commissioner for the Eastern Area of Norfolk
My roll in HeartCare is to help provide First Aid cover at meetings and on adventures whenever possible and to provide manpower for setting up the monthly meetings, fund raising and information days. Our late Chairman John Kennedy who I first met at the JPH in 1992 introduced me to HeartCare.
