Southern non-Fried Chicken

Serves 4

(Oven baked but tastes as if it has been fried)

Ingredients: -

4 - chicken portions

7.5ml/1½ tsp - garlic salt )

7.5ml/1½ tsp - celery salt )

75ml/5 tbsp - low fat live yoghurt

85g/3oz - flour

5ml/1 tsp - cinnamon

5ml/1 tsp - black pepper

Method: -

Skin the chicken portions.

Put the flour, garlic salt, celery salt, cinnamon and black pepper into a plastic bag and mix together.

Put the yoghurt into a dish and coat the chicken portions, one at a time, with the yoghurt.

Then put each chicken portion in turn into the season mixture.

When coated, put onto a lightly oiled baking tray and bake in the oven for approximately 35 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken.

Oven temperature 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4
