It wasn't long before he had finished all he had to do and he then explained in detail what was going to happen to me. He answered all my questions in full.
During all this there was a great deal of activity, various nurses came in, people moving up and down the corridor, a cleaner came in, my nurse popped her head round the door and said, “I haven't forgotten you”. This is obviously a very busy place.
It was now 10.30, the tea lady came round but, by this time, I was classed as NBM - a ‘?Nil by Mouth' patient.
Sue, my nurse, came and more forms had to be filled in, blood pressure taken, weight, blood sample etc. At 11.00 another nurse came to do an ECG on me.
